Medical Billing & Coding
The Medical Billing Program is 8 months in length consisting of classroom lecture and hands on instruction in actual medical billing, should the student desire Medical Billing as their career choice.

Students are exposed to Health claims forms, interpret contracts, and calculate usual, customary and reasonable allowance benefits, become familiar with and use the industry related reference materials such as the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), International Classification of Diseases (ICD-9) and Health Care Common Procedural Coding Systems (HCPCS).

The Medical Billing & Coding program is accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), and the Bureau for Private Post Secondary and Vocational Education.

Upon successful completion of the Medical Billing/Coding Program the graduate will be eligible to take their National Coding Examination which is administered by The American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) to become nationally certified as a coder.

Admissions Requirements:
Applicants may be admitted who are 17 years and older and hold high school diploma or GED or possess the ability to benefit from training as a Medical Biller.
